What is a Federal Firearms License (FFL)?

FFL stands for Federal Firearms License – ownership of one allows an individual or company to engage in the manufacture of firearms and ammunition and allows for the interstate and intrastate sales of firearms.

Holding a Federal Firearms License to participate in these activities has been the law since the Gun Control Act of 1968. FFLs range from a Type 1 (run of the mill dealer or gunsmith) to a Type 11 (importer of just about anything destructive or gun-related).

If you have questions about licensing, are looking to sell your guns in Seattle, Everett, Marysville, Mukilteo, or Shoreline, or would like to request a transfer, give us a call or shoot us an email.
